This tutorial will show you how to add text to a Reflection in D2L’s ePortfolio
This tutorial is available as a video:
Or as a series of screenshots:
After you have composed your essay in MS Word, select the text that corresponds with Question #1 on the “Initial Portfolio Essay: What do you think?” assignment. On your keyboard, click [Control C] (on a PC) or [Command C] (on a Mac) to copy the text.
After you have logged into D2L, click the ePortfolio tab in the top navigation bar.
- From the list of [My Items], click the [Down arrow] to the right of [Initial Essay].
- Select [Edit].
- To begin, expand the editing window to get more room to work. Do this by dragging the bottom right corner of the editing window down and to the right.
- You’ll notice that I have placed images into the Reflection for you. Beneath each image is text that serves as a placeholder. Highlight this text and paste the text for Question #1 on the “Initial Portfolio Essay: What do you think?” assignment beneath the first image. To do this, click [Control V] (on a PC) or [Command V] (on a Mac) on your keyboard.
Once you place the text for Question #1, your window will look similar to the screenshot above.
Repeat the process from Step 4 (above) highlighting and replacing the text below image #2 with your response to Question #2 in your essay.
Repeat the process from Step 4 (above) highlighting and replacing the text below image #3 with your response to Question #3 in your essay.
When all the text form your essay has been placed in the appropriate location in your Reflection, click [ Save] on the bottom left side of the window.
You will return to the Edit Reflection window, click [Done].
